  • The Adventure Developers Online Conference has offered a few new tidbits of information about Gray Matter. Check out the discussion thread! In summary, the news is:

    • Localization (that is final texts, voice acting etc.) does not usually happen until a few months before release, so there is no information about this at this point.
    • The official website will contain the first new info about story and characters when it is launched in early 2007.
    • Gray Matter will be released worldwide. The exact dates for the individual territories will be announced as Anaconda decide on the international partners they will work with to bring Gray Matter to every corner of the globe. They are currently in negotiations with many prospective partners all over the world, and plan to make it available everywhere by the end of the year 2007.
    • Gray Matter is very much a Jane Jensen game and that definitely holds true for the puzzles, which will be challenging and rich in background (both scientific and historical).

  • Please welcome CORT-X Forum's new administrator / moderator Krss.
Krss was Sidney's Messageboard moderator. She programmed our own board with all kind of new features, and this same type of forum can now be found in our 'guestroom' section (Yes! We're already upgrading).

Unfortunately, those members who already signed up will have to sign up again, so don't hesitate and join the Gray Matter discussion! :)

  • Sit comfortably back in your seats, because here are two videofiles of the Leipzig press conference available as downloads!

There's a very big one of the entire pressconference (320 mb download) and a smaller one of just the Gray Matter storyboard Intro (29,5 mb). Very cool!

  • An online report of Jane Jensen's press conference at the Leipzig Games Convention reveals us some extra info about the game. I've added it to the FAQ.
    Below a short summary:

    - Gray Matter will be a series, but it won't be episodic (basically the same approach as the Gabriel Knight series). The first game will be called: Such stuff as dreams are made of, and will have a playing time of about 40 hours.
    - Dr. David Styles is running a Center for Cognitive Abnormality Research,
being involved in neurobiological experiments (hypnosis, memory recall and a lot more). it's Samantha's job to recruit six students to be his "lambs" for dream experiments. (hence the title of Lambs' Club)
    - The game is currently in art concepting phase and they are working on the engine. A team of 80 people is developing the game, using their internal motion capture studio!
    - Gray Matter will feature traditional adventure puzzles -- inventory, logical types of puzzles, etc.

  • Welcome to version 1.0 of CORT-X.
The site's main goal is to provide news about Jane Jensen's new adventure game, Gray Matter, and keep you up-to-date with the status of the game.

Since this website was started very early in the production of the game, news updates might be scarce for the time being. Hopefully, there will be more material available soon when the official Gray Matter website launches and the gaming press starts doing their 'previews'. I will also try to come up with some exclusive content like Interviews, Desktop Themes, Articles and so forth.

If you find any news that hasn't been posted here, please let me know and I will post it asap.

  • I'm headhunting for someone to monitor the forum, candidates can apply
by writing me a letter. :-)
